Kimberly Wicklund, MPH
Kim Wicklund is a manager in the Clinical Improvement and Prevention Department at Group Health Cooperative in Seattle. In that role, she oversees the implementation of patient education strategies and health promotion programs.
Prior to joining Group Health in 2006, Kim managed a Robert Wood Johnson-funded asthma program with Public Health- Seattle & King County. She also worked for the Minnesota Department of Health, where
she supported coalitions in improving diabetes outcomes in their communities. Through these and previous roles, Kim gained extensive experience working with coalitions to improve dissemination of health information to diverse communities. She also designed, implemented and evaluated integrated community and clinical approaches to chronic disease control.
Kim brings her passion for ensuring that health literacy issues are considered in the development information therapy tools to her work at Group Health, where she is leading an effort to promote use of plain language in all patient-oriented communications.
Kim has a Masters in Public Health from the University of Minnesota with an emphasis on community health and evaluation.
