Consumer's Guide to Informaiton Therapy

Welcome to Information Therapy for Consumers

Just like medication, health information can be prescribed. Information therapy (or Ix® program) is the right information prescribed to the right person at the right time. Ix can help you make informed health decisions.

When information therapy is prescribed as a part of your health care, it can be as important to your health as any test, surgery, or medicine.

Unlike free-floating health content on the Web, Ix is delivered electronically to you:
  • Before or after a doctor visit, test, or surgery.
  • When you get a prescription.
  • At any other moment in your care.
How to use this site
Use this Web site to learn skills to find good information, more about information therapy, and what you can do to support Ix. These pages do not cover information about a specific condition. Once you use these pages, you will better know how to search for information on your condition.
