The Center for Information Therapy

Information Therapy (Ix)® is the timely prescription and availability of evidence-based health information to meet individuals' specific needs and support sound decision making. Ix prescriptions are specifically targeted to an individual's needs at a particular moment in care and are delivered as part of the process of care.

Physicians, health plans, hospitals, and other organizations can utilize physician-generated, system-generated, and consumer-generated Ix prescriptions to promote health, manage chronic disease, prevent medical mistakes, achieve patient-centered care, improve health care system efficiencies, and improve the overall quality and experience of care.
